8-9 Baseball Team Crowned District Champions!

Pasadena American and San Marino faced off in the Championship round of the 8-9 District 17 All Star Tournament.

Since San Marino came into this matchup from the winner's bracket, they only needed to beat Pasadena once and Pasadena would have to beat San Marino twice.

On Sunday, Pasadena was victorious, coming from behind in the 6th inning to beat San Marino 16-11, forcing a rematch Monday evening.

The San Marino players easily could have folded and lost their final game. Losing in the 6th inning crushes most teams' hearts, but not this team! San Marino came out strong in their rematch with Pasadena, hitting well and playing great defense, along with strong pitching. San Marino held Pasadena to only 5 runs, ultimately winning the game 8-5.

Way to go 8-9 All Stars!!
